According to a report from The Scottish Sun, Owen McGinty is now attracting attention from the Premier League having left Rangers’s academy back in 2018.
The Scottish Sun reports that the 18-year-old has most recently been on Ayr’s books. But it appears that he now has some exciting options on the table.
According to The Scottish Sun, Bournemouth are interested in offering the winger the chance to move to the top flight. Meanwhile, Swansea City and Sunderland are also reportedly keen to land the teenager.
It is suggested that McGinty is now planning to consider his options before making his next move. But there is no question that he may have a tough decision on his hands.
Rangers may rue no longer having McGinty on their books. It says a lot about his potential that he is attracting Premier League interest, while two clubs who were also in the top flight not so long ago are also interested.
But the Gers undoubtedly have their own fair share of exciting prospects coming through. A number of players within Graeme Murty’s ranks are regularly catching the eye and being tipped for a future first-team chance by the fans.
It may be disappointing that McGinty has moved on, based on these latest reports. But Rangers appear to still have a number of names to look out for.
