Liverpool will be hoping to get their title bid back on track with a victory over Watford tomorrow night.
In Wednesday night’s Premier League clash, league leaders Liverpool host Watford at Anfield and cannot afford to slip up.
With Manchester City just one point behind, the Reds need to get back to winning ways after last weekend’s draw with Manchester United.
But they face a tricky test as Javi Gracia’s Watford head to Merseyside high on confidence after their 5-1 win over Cardiff City.
And the man who caused most of the damage that day, Gerard Deulofeu, has an added incentive.
Deulofeu’s past links with Everton make this a mouth-watering contest for him on a personal level as he looks to endear himself to his former fan base.
Everton have the chance to halt Liverpool in the Merseyside derby at the weekend but Deulofeu will get his opportunity before that.
The Spaniard netted a hat-trick (and picked up an assist) against Cardiff and will be eager to continue his good form against Everton;s bitter rivals.
If the 24-year-old can add to his six goals and four assists this season, Watford could force Liverpool to drop points.
And with the title race looking set to go down to the wire, any missed opportunity could be punished by Manchester City.
