A former Aston Villa defender has sent a message to the club after he felt he received a “lack of support” while playing for the Villans.

Unai Emery’s side kicked off their Premier League season against Eddie Howe’s, with Aston Villa drawing 0-0 with Newcastle.

Ezri Konsa’s red card was the talking point of the match, with the English defender now set to miss a few games for the Villans despite the season just starting.

Speaking of English defenders, a former Villa player is not happy with the club, as he has stated in a defiant Instagram message.

Kortney Hause sends damning message to Aston Villa

Kortney Hause played for Aston Villa for six and a half years. He joined Villa on loan in January 2019 from Wolverhampton Wanderers, and after a strong season, he signed a permanent contract with Villa in July 2019.

During his time at Villa, Hause made over 50 appearances, but his career at Villa Park was plagued by injuries.

This is something he has now claimed he didn’t receive support for during his time at the club. He took to Instagram to state that he experienced a “lack of support from the club.”

Hause wrote: “Could things have played out a lot better if it wasn’t for the injuries and the lack of support from the club while dealing with the injuries? Most definitely! No doubt!

But nevertheless, making it to the Premier League isn’t a coincidence or by luck. I was made for this s—. Gotta write the ending to my own story. Still that. God’s perfect plan. Amen.”

What is Kortney Hause doing now?

As of the time of writing, he is a free agent. His contract with Aston Villa expired last season, and he has not signed with another club since.

Hause did have success at Villa, but ultimately, he was deemed surplus to requirements given his injuries.

The Instagram post depicts Hause hard at work in training, evidently trying to get back to full fitness and find a new club to continue his football career. His injury record suggests this is very much needed.
