'Everyone went mental': Ramsdale shares funny story involving Arteta and Saka
Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale has shared a funny training-ground story involving Gunners teammate Bukayo Saka and boss Mikel Arteta.
The 23-year-old was taking part in Sky Sports YouTube feature Never Have I Ever alongside Arsenal teammate Rob Holding.
Ramsdale and Holding were asked if either had ever been nutmegged by Saka in training.
The Arsenal goalkeeper held up the “I have never” card, while the defender admitted Saka had got him.
Both players said they had got the 20-year-old as well, before Holding asked Ramsdale about “the other week”.
“I was walking over and I heard a lot of screaming,” replied the keeper.
“And I saw the boss with his hands on his head and Bukayo running around.
“So there was one meg, and as I was walking over, I seen another one, and that’s when the boss blew his whistle.
“Everyone went mental, Bukayo megs the boss twice!”
It’s always great to hear training-ground stories like this, which shows there’s a great sense of camaraderie at Arsenal.
Also, the fact a Saka nutmeg question featured shows just how talented the 20-year-old is.
Saka has become a crucial player for Arsenal and England alike, and it’ll be great to see just how better he can still become.
Arsenal are back in action on Monday night, when they head to Crystal Palace.
The Gunners are currently fourth in the Premier League table, three points ahead of fifth-placed Tottenham.
In addition, Arsenal have a game in hand on their north London rivals.
