Tottenham Hotspur have quietly built a really good young team.

Indeed, while everyone has been focused on big name signings and spending massively over the past couple of years, Spurs have been plugging away, signing a number of young gems who will steer the club into a bright future.

The likes of Micky Van de Ven, Brennan Johnson, Pape Sarr and Destiny Udogie all look like future stars, and according to Alasdair Gold, speaking on the Gold and Guest Talk Tottenham Podcast, there are plenty of people within the game who are excited about what Spurs are building.

Gold says that everyone he’s spoken to is excited about Spurs’ young core, claiming that even agents are noting how Spurs are building something special.

Everyone is excited

Gold shared what people have been saying about Tottenham’s young core.

“Everyone I’ve spoken to have a real excitement. Within the club and people outside the club to like agents, people like that. Spurs are building this ridiculously talented group of young players at the club, wonderkids if you will. 22 year olds down you have Van de Ven and Johnson, Udogie and Sarr are even younger than that and Kulusevski is only 23,” Gold said.

Something special brewing

Tottenham might just have something special brewing here.

It’s taken a long time, but Tottenham are now set up for success. They have an incredible young squad, a fantastic manager and a stadium that may as well be a cash-printing machine.

With the Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola eras potentially coming to an end over the next few years, Tottenham have the chance to move into that elite tier in the Premier League.

Daniel Levy has always maintained that he’s had a long-term vision for Tottenham, and while we don’t want to say it too soon, Spurs may soon start to see some success off the back of that.
