Arsenal youngster Ethan Nwaneri has now been lifting the lid on his development and future with the club.
It’s now becoming increasingly hard for Arsenal youngsters to bridge the gap between the Hale End academy and Mikel Arteta’s first team.

However, there’s little doubt that 16-year-old Nwaneri will have the talent to find his feet in the senior squad.
The Arsenal youngster is already often training with the first team, and was included in the recent warm weather training camp in Dubai.
Nwaneri recently sat down with the Arsenal website to speak about his career thus far, and all he’s experienced at the age of 16.
And when discussing his progress, Nwaneri also name dropped another Arsenal youngster as a player he loved playing alongside.
Nwaneri hailed the talent of Myles Lewis-Skelly, another player the club have high hopes for.

Discussing some of the season so far, Nwaneri also declared the position he sees himself playing under Arteta eventually.
He said: “When I think about playing my best football, I would say I’m usually playing as one of the two pocket players, either as the 8 or 10.
“They’re my best positions and it’s where I feel most comfortable and confident because I’m on the ball and I have the chance to progress and drive play forward.
“I love playing alongside Myles in the midfield, I feel like we really complement each other in terms of our style of play and I think everyone can see we have a great connection on the pitch.
“We’ve obviously got great chemistry because we’ve known each other for so many years and I feel like we communicate really well.
“I’m grateful to play with someone of his quality and to be training alongside him with the first-team in Dubai.”
Mikel Arteta needs to lean on Hale End
As Arsenal continue to their upwards trajectory, it is proving hard for a youngster to break into the first team.
Both Charlie Patino and Brooke Norton-Cuffy are enjoying excellent loans in the Championship, but there’s no guarantee they’ll be offered a senior role on return.

And whilst that’s the reality of Arsenal becoming an elite side once again, fans won’t want to see a complete disconnect.
Perhaps the likes of Nwaneri and ‘special’ Lewis-Skelly are bigger talents than the names mentioned above.
And it certainly would be rewarding to see the duo increasingly involved with Arsenal’s first team.
That being said, it seems that one Arsenal player may need to leave before next week’s deadline given his lack of chances.
