On Sunday, Divock Origi was linked with a loan move from Liverpool to Everton, according to Turkish newspaper Aksam.
The Merseyside swap would be a misguided decision from an Evertonian standpoint, as Origi has failed to make an impression during his time in England and has proved to be an ineffective goal-scorer.
The Belgian international signed for the Reds in 2014, but has only made 51 league appearances during his time at Anfield. In his roughly half-century of caps, he has bagged just 12 goals— an unremarkable tally that led to his loan move to Wolfsburg last season.

Amid initial high hopes, the striker notched a measly six goals in 31 Bundesliga matches and did not earn a permanent move to the German club this summer. Origi returned to Liverpool and has been completely frozen out this season, making just one appearance in the Premier League 2 for the Reds.
Without any first-team minutes this year and combined with his abysmal scoring record in England, Origi’s mooted loan deal to Goodison Park would be a disappointing move for the Toffees.
