Everton defender Cuco Martina has joined Feyenoord on loan until the end of the season (official website).
The Dutchman had become out of favour at the Stoke City under new boss Nathan Jones.
Martina has been allowed to cut his stint with the Potters in order to move to back to his homeland.

Signed by Ronald Koeman in 2017, Martina has failed to convince at Goodison Park across his 28 appearances for the club.
It could well be that this move is his last chance to prove himself to Marco Silva.
Last-chance saloon?
Martina will be out of contract in the summer of 2020.
The Liverpool Echo claimed Martina does not have a future at Goodison Park, but if that were the case then maybe they wouldn’t have facilitated another transfer for him.
Martina certainly needs to make use of the move to Feyenoord.

The form of both Seamus Coleman and Jonjoe Kenny has been a concern this season, so the club may need to address the position in the summer.
Martina’s form has been poor, and surely it’s his last chance to show Silva that he does still have something to offer the club.
