Everton’s Richarlison is reportedly a target for Chelsea this summer.

The Blues are eyeing up a move for the Brazilian once again according to The Daily Mail, with speculation increasing that Eden Hazard will join Real Madrid.

The Belgian winger gave an ominous interview to RMC Sport on Tuesday, stating that he had ‘made up my mind’ with regards to his future (via The Evening Standard).

Hazard has long been linked with a switch to the Bernabeu and he has never really hidden his admiration for the Spanish giants.

The summer of 2019 could therefore be the time Hazard finally jumps ship, and that could be bad news for Everton if Richarlison is genuinely being considered as a replacement.

Everton must stand firm and show their ambition

Everton are ultimately trying to break into the top six.

In order to do this, Marco Silva, Marcel Brands and Farhad Moshiri need to be keeping their best players out of the clutches of bigger clubs.

Richarlison has been impressive in his first season at Goodison Park, scoring 11 goals, but the club mustn’t be tempted by any mega summer bids from the Blues, possibly funded by the sale of Hazard.

Aged just 21, Richarlison’s potential is vast. He has already shown his quality and Everton would regret cashing in so soon.

He is a player that could genuinely drag them to a trophy in a few years and even help them break back into Europe.
