Everton have reportedly joined the race to sign Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette next year.

French outlet Jeunes Footeux claims the Toffees want to snap up the Gunners marksman.

As well as Everton, Premier League rivals West Ham are apparently eyeing Lacazette too.

Lacazette joined Arsenal from Lyon to much fanfare back in 2017 for a reported £46.5million.

However, the 30-year-old’s time at the Emirates has had its ups and downs.

Lacazette is yet to start a Premier League game this season, and has only clocked up 72 minutes in the top flight.

In addition, the France international’s contract expires next summer.

So far, there haven’t been any suggestions that he’ll be penning a new deal.

Jeunes Footeux claims Arsenal will look to sell Lacazette in the summer – and Everton and West Ham are monitoring the situation closely.

Lacazette is a talented player with an eye for goal who could perhaps do with a change of scenery.

Everton and West Ham are both flying high in the Premier League, and Lacazette has shown he can cut it in the upper echelons of the English top flight.

Toffees legend Gary Lineker rates Lacazette highly, saying the following after the Gunners man salvaged a 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace on Monday:

It’s looking increasingly likely that Lacazette will simply leave next summer once his contract expires.

That said, if Everton or West Ham offered Arsenal some money for a January sale, could Mikel Arteta consider it?
