Everton have reportedly set their sights on Marseille attacker Iliman Ndiaye.
With the January transfer window set to open shortly, the Toffees have an opportunity to bolster their ranks in pursuit of Premier League survival.
Now, journalist Ignazio Genuardi has taken to X to report that Everton hold a “particular interest” in Ndiaye.
However, the report makes it clear that Marseille are “not lenders”. This suggests the Toffees would’ve had a loan in mind and will have to think again.
As well as Everton, the likes of Crystal Palace and former club Sheffield United are apparently also in pursuit of Ndiaye.
Everton keen on Iliman Ndiaye
Everton’s form has taken a major downturn in recent days. After winning four Premier League games in a row, they’ve now lost their last three.
Sean Dyche will no doubt want to strengthen his ranks, and Ndiaye seems like a good shout for the Goodison Park outfit.

The 23-year-old has been doing well at boyhood club Marseille since his £20million move from Bramall Lane last summer.
Ndiaye has made 23 appearances in all competitions, registering one goal and three assists for the French giants.
He also has seven Senegal caps, played at the 2022 World Cup, and is in their 2024 Africa Cup of Nations squad.
‘The things he does with the ball are just incredible’
Ndiaye previously played for Rising Ballers FC, and then coach Mahrez Bettache sung his praises in The Mirror last year.
“You can tell a footballer by the way he runs. He just fit the profile. He was very silky with the ball,” Bettache recalled.
“Iliman is probably the best freestyler slash footballer I know to this day. The things he does with the ball are just incredible.
However, he “isn’t just a fancy attacker”. He is also a “very hard-working and honest player,” added Bettache.
“He’s always battling in midfield or, you know, defending set pieces.”
Ndiaye seems like a good shout for Everton, but luring him away from the club he dreamt of playing for as a child – and mid-season as well – may be difficult.
