Williams rumours wide of the mark

Everton will not accept any permanent deals for midfield talent Joe Williams this month. The 22-year-old is currently on loan at Bolton Wanderers, where he has impressed despite the club’s struggles.

The Liverpool Echo report that Bristol City wanted to sign him on loan for the second half of the season with a view to a permanent move.

However, Everton will reject ‘all offers’ for the player, according to the report. That would go against several reports this week suggesting a deal was on the cards.

Sandro loan

Everton will not be ending the loan spell of Sandro Ramirez early. The Spaniard is currently at Real Sociedad until the end of the campaign. He has struggled for form at the Basque club with injury also playing a part in his poor displays.

Marco Silva has confirmed the loan will not be ended and he will remain at Anoeta until the end of the season.

Mendes sought

Lille midfielder Thiago Mendes has entered the Everton radar. As reported by Telefoot, the Brazilian is a potential option for Everton, if Idrissa Gana Gueye goes to Paris Saint-Germain.

The French side are said to be looking into the signature of the Senegalese midfielder as a potential January addition.

Mendes is reportedly being valued at £27 million by the Ligue 1 outfit.
