Gueye opener

It appears there is definite substance in the PSG interest for Idrissa Gana Gueye. L’Equipe have suggested today that the French giants have lodged an initial £22 million bid for the player.

Everton reportedly value the player at nearly double that amount, so that offer is likely to be rejected.

Brands shelves transfer talk

It again seems that Everton will not be signing any new players this month. Marcel Brands has confirmed that the club have no interest in reported £23 million target Edin Dzeko.

He told TeleRadioStereo that it is Everton’s ‘intention’ to not buy any new players in the current transfer window, whilst categorically denying any interest in signing the Bosnian Premier League winner.

Big Sam at it again

In an apparent episode of captain obvious former Everton manager Sam Allardyce has claimed he wanted to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang during his time at Goodison Park.

He told talkSPORT that he had discussed the possibility of moving for the Gabon international.

In the end, Aubameyang joined Arsenal for £56 million.
