Everton Transfer Latest July 2013

During the summer transfer window, Everton will look to develop their side with additions to the squad.

New Everton boss, Roberto Martinez is wishing to bring a few players from his previous club, Wigan to Goodison Park.

Here is an overview of potential future signings that may be playing at Goodison Park next season.

Nathan Dyer – Swansea

Everton boss, Roberto Martinez is prepared to make a £5 million bid for the Swansea winger.

Dyer has only a year left on his contract at the Liberty Stadium and Martinez hopes to tempt him into Everton with a three year deal valued at £40,000 per week.

Arouna Kone – Wigan

Everton were expecting to reunite 29 year old, Arouna Kone with Roberto Martinez, his former manager after Wigan boss, Dave Whelan indicated that Kone was set for Goodison Park.

However, Newcastle have apparently activated the striker’s release clause, said to be valued at £5 million, permitting them to enter talks to convince the player to choose the Magpies.

Despite Newcastle’s efforts to complete a deal for the Wigan forward, Roberto Martinez is still hoping that he can sign the striker, attempting to quickly push through a deal for Arouna Kone.

Antolin Alcaraz – Wigan

The 30 year old, Paraguayan defender, Antolin Alcaraz is expected to complete his move from Wigan to Everton shortly.

The Paraguay international is out of contract with Wigan and is set to join the Toffees on a free transfer.

Keisuke Honda – CSKA Moscow

The 27-year-old Japanese international has been in good form during this summer’s confederations Cup and he is apparently on the watch list of the Toffees and Serie A giants, AC Milan.

Roberto Martinez is determined to secure a deal for the midfielder as speculation grows over the future of Fellaini.

Honda is out of contract with the Russian club, CSKA Moscow at the end of the year, so will be available for a smaller fee this summer.

Wilfried Bony – Vitesse Arnhem

Bony’s club, Vitesse have been holding out during the transfer window due to interest expressed by Liverpool, Everton, West Ham and Swansea in the Ivory Coast striker.

So far, Swansea have made the best offer for the striker.
