Everton are reportedly interested in talented Scottish youngster Jamie Hamilton. The Daily Mail reports that Everton boss Marco Silva wants to ‘bolster’ the club’s options at centre-back and that the 17-year-old talent has ‘been identified’ as one for the future.
The teen is also wanted by a host of other clubs after impressing for Scotland’s under-17s and he made his debut for the Hamilton first-team last month.
Whilst Everton fans will be pleased to hear that the Toffees are looking into more youth recruitment, it is not the sort of defender they need to sign in January.

Everton already have immensely talented young centre-backs at the club. Morgan Feeney, Lewis Gibson, and Ryan Astley are all waiting to step up to the first-team. One of them would deserve a call way before a new teenage recruit.
Everton clearly made an error not bringing in another centre-back as cover for this season. Both Kurt Zouma and Phil Jagielka are no longer at the club from last season leaving just Michael Keane, Yerry Mina, and Mason Holgate as options.
Whilst director of football Marcel Brands is not a fan of doing his business in January, Everton fans will surely hope this area of the team is strengthened at the halfway point.
Whilst Hamilton would also be a good addition for the future Everton need to look at a more established option.
