Everton need to add a top quality centre-forward to their squad, which will allow Richarlison to move to his preferred role on the left wing.
The Toffees are crying out for a target man to lead the line and may be on the perfect path to finding a solution.
According to II Messaggero, Everton have registered an interest in striker Edin Dzeko at Roma.
The 32-year-old has 18 months remaining on his deal with Italian giants Roma and the Merseyside club are keen on bringing him to Goodison Park.
He is a proven attacker that has shone in the Serie A, Bundesliga and Premier League during his career so far.

Dzeko would be a genius addition to Marco Silva’s squad and be the ideal option to play through the centre, where he can provide top-class link-up play and also be a fox in the box.
The colossus 6ft 4in centre-forward is extremely effective at playing a lone role in attack and would flourish in an Everton team in front of creative minds such as Gylfi Sigurdsson and Richarlison.
Dzeko has scored goals wherever he has gone with Roma (80 in 158), Manchester City (72 in 189) and Wolfsburg (85 in 142).
Everton would be a much better team with his clinical touch in attack and it would be a good change of strategy from the club to sign the ready-made product rather than potential.
