Everton are reportedly interested in Ajax’s playmaker Donny van de Beek.

According to Bleacher Report, the Toffees have been attracted to the 21-year-old Eredivisie star.

The report details that Italian clubs have sent scouts to watch the attacking midfielder and AC Milan are showing the most intent in potentially spanning him up.

Everton fans would be right to have reservations over van de Beek, as they previously signed Davy Klaassen from the Dutch giants and he turned out to be a flop.

But van de Beek really looks to seem the real deal and the creative maestro could light up Goodison Park if given the chance.

He usually plays in the number 10 role behind the striker, but does have the versatility to play anywhere in midfield.

The technically gifted ace has made 41 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring 12 goals and supplying nine assists in return.

Van de Beek was a key player during Ajax’s brilliant elimination of Real Madrid in the Champions League last-16 and certainly has the qualities to play at the top level.

Marco Silva’s Everton definitely need to try add more goals to their side over the summer and the Ajax maestro ticks a lot of boxes.
