Everton target Denis Suarez would be a £9m bargain

Everton could pull of a genius signing if they manage to win the race for attacker Denis Suarez from La Liga giants Barcelona.

According to Sport, the Toffees have shown an interest in the 24-year-old alongside West Ham and Everton.

It is understood that Spanish club Barcelona are willing to offload their player and want around £9million to sanction his exit.

Everton have already had success this season with loaning Andre Gomes from Barcelona and should be straight on the phone to try land another deal with them.

Suarez is a versatile ace that can play as an attacker on the wings, but has also been deployed in midfield during his career.

The Spaniard has made six appearances so far this season, which included two in the Champions League, and chipped in with two goals.

He’s clearly slipped down the pecking order at Camp Nou, but there is no reason why he couldn’t make an impact in the Premier League.

Everton could do with some extra options in wide areas moving forward, as they can’t rely on the inconsistent Theo Walcott each week.

Nimble wide man Suarez would provide great competition for the Merseyside club and be a potential bargain at £9million, while Silva may be the perfect mentor to help him fulfil his potential.
