Everton have reportedly joined the hunt to sign Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey, who currently earns £110,000-a-week at the Emirates Stadium (Spotrac.com).

According to the Sun, the Toffees are eyeing a move for the 27-year-old that is set to leave Arsenal on a free transfer in the summer when his contract expires.

It is understood that Everton’s director of football Marcel Brands is putting together a package to try bring the Wales international to Goodison Park and that could include a bumper £150,000-a-week five-year deal.

The report details that Ramsey could command a £15million signing-on fee, while the likes of Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United are all monitoring his situation.

The central midfielder certainly has world-class attributes in his game and finding consistency due to a spate of injuries has perhaps been his biggest downfall at Arsenal.

But he is a technically gifted ace that could certainly add a new dimension to Everton’s midfield and be a vital part of the jigsaw for manager Marco Silva.

They already have the combative enforcers in the shape of Idrissa Gueye and Morgan Schneiderlin to do the defensive work, but could do with a ball carrier that can dictate play too.

Ramsey would provide a serious attacking threat from midfield and once scored 16 goals back in the 2013/14 season, while he was directly involved in 23 goals across all competitions in the last campaign.
