Everton may still have a decision to make regarding Mason Holgate this summer, despite West Brom’s recent transfer activity.
As reported by the London Evening Standard, West Brom have secured the transfer of QPR defender Darnell Furlong in a £1.5 million deal. He will likely take the place of Holgate, at right-back, who ended last season on loan at The Hawthorns.
However, as reported by the Express and Star, Holgate will remain on West Brom’s transfer shortlist regardless.
As the defender is equally capable at both right-back and centre-back, the Baggies are more than willing to bring him to Everton this summer.

Everton seemingly have a decision to make with Holgate.
The club are lacking cover at both his positions with Jonjoe Kenny joining Schalke 04 on loan and Kurt Zouma’s loan spell expiring. Everton are therefore being linked with moves to cover both positions.
But if Everton were to bring in replacements for the pair before the close of the transfer window, Holgate would again find himself way down the pecking order at Goodison Park.
Time will tell if Marco Silva is ready to give the 22-year-old a chance this season or send him back to The Hawthorns.
