Everton have been linked with a surprise move for West Ham United forward Felipe Anderson, according to Team Talk and their supporters have been reacting on Twitter.
The Brazilian has spent the first half of 2020/21 out on loan with Porto but is set to return to the London Stadium after a falling out with boss Sergio Conceicao.
It seems as though Anderson is wanted by Carlo Ancelotti – but only if the Everton manager can’t do deals for his primary targets during the January transfer window.
Anderson cost West Ham £36 million from Lazio in the summer of 2018 – a club-record deal at that time. In 72 appearances for the Hammers, he has scored 12 times and registered 12 assists.
Everton will hope to do some business this month as Ancelotti aims to lead his team into Europe next season.
Anderson isn’t thought to be a primary target, although he is a player that is apparently admired by the Toffees boss.
Following the surprise news, it seems as though Everton fans have been quick to discuss the rumour on Twitter.
It does seem a bizarre one to do the rounds and some Toffees fans aren’t really sure what to make of it.
Here is what Everton supporters are saying at the prospect of the £85,000-a-week flyer rocking up at Goodison Park.
Not wanted at West Ham and not wanted at Porto but we want him. Seems strange to me. I actually thought he was a decent play in his first season, seems abit lazy from what I’ve seen. Can’t see this having any legs at all

By all accounts he's been absolutely dreadful in Portugal. Avoid

Not one West Ham fan has a good thing to say about Anderson. Swerve this

If he isn't good enough for Moyes he's not good enough for Ancelotti
