Everton are reportedly set to sanction the exit of striker Fraser Hornby with the Scotland Under-21 international set to join French side Stade Reims on a permanent basis – and Everton supporters have responded on Twitter.
French website Yahoo Sport have claimed that 21-year-old Hornby is set to agree a move to the Ligue 1 side. Reims finished sixth last season, with the French government ruling an end to the 2019-20 campaign.
They have a chance of qualifying for the Europa League qualifying rounds but only depending on the end of the French Cups, which are due to be completed in August. Hornby spent last season on loan at Belgian side KV Kortrijk.

The English-born striker only scored four goals 14 games, but is used more because of his height and hia ability to hold the ball up and bring others into play – rather than being a goal machine and scoring tap-ins.
The report states that even though Everton lack an enormous amount of fire power up front, Hornby will be sold and Reims seemingly are ready to spend a bargain £1.8million and chance their arm on the lofty striker.
Scott Gemmill told the Daily Record in 2018, after working alongside Hornby for Scotland’s Under-21 side, that he expected a number of clubs to be interested in signing Hornby on loan: “I’m sure clubs are queuing up to take him on loan now.”
Everton supporters reacted on Twitter to the news that Hornby is set to leave the club on a permanent basis despite managing only one senior appearance for the Toffees – and some are frustrated.
