Everton have submitted a bid to sign a £16.8m-rated midfielder who Jose Mourinho really rates, according to a recent report.
The Toffees will be eager to avoid any relegation talk this coming season and will therefore need to invest significantly in the summer transfer window.
Though, that may not be possible as they continue to remain in limbo over a takeover, so finances could be limited.
That said, they have just launched a bid to sign a £16.8m-rated midfielder.

Everton submit bid for Edoardo Bove
According to Gianluca Di Marzio’s website, Everton have submitted a bid to sign Roma midfielder Edoardo Bove.
The 2002-born has been subjected to interest from Leeds United but the Championship outfit are now unlikely to pursue a deal after failing to gain promotion from the second tier.
That leaves The Toffees with a clear run at his signature and it’s understood that a £16.8m bid could be enough.
At this stage, it is unclear how much Everton have offered but with Bove keen on a move to England, it seems like a deal could get made in the coming weeks.
Edoardo Bove profile
Bove, who Jose Mourinho really rates, can operate in a number of positions across the midfield having plied his trade as a six, an eight and even as a number 10.
Though, it’s at the base of midfield where he really excels according to his impressive FBref statistics.
The 22-year-old ranks in the top eight per cent for tackles per 90 compared to his positional peers across Europe.
Further, he sits in the top 17 per cent for aerial duels won, only amplifying how aggressive he is in fighting for balls.
