Everton held off Liverpool in a 2-2 draw at Goodison Park to remain unbeaten this season in a game packed full of incident.
Liverpool fans were left disappointed with VAR after a potential penalty was not awarded for Jordan Pickford’s challenge on Virgil van Dijk and Jordan Henderson’s late winner was ruled out with Sadio Mane, apparently, inches offside.
But VAR could not find anything wrong with Michael Oliver’s decision to send off Richarlison.

The Everton winger put in a poor challenge on Thiago Alcantara and was rightly shown a red card, something not many Everton fans would argue.
Even the Brazilian has made it clear he accepts the decision, taking to social media to apologise to the Liverpool star.
However, for some Liverpool fans, it was not enough, Richarlison still taking stick from fans online.
In the end, the Everton forward decided to defend himself further, especially when it was suggested he was a repeat offender with challenges of this nature.
Everton fans have rallied behind him and Richarlison has every right to defend himself.
However, now might be the time for Richarlison to step back and let the baiters go fishing without taking the bite.
It was a poor challenge, but he is clearly sorry for it and has apologised.
Time to draw a line under the incident and move on for Everton’s Brazilian attacker.
