Everton continue to be linked with a move for Isco.
The Spanish playmaker is understood to be surplus to requirements at the Bernabeu (El Confidencial).
His situation is similar to that of James Rodriguez, who was unfancied by Zinedine Zidane. The Colombian, of course, made a move to Goodison Park in the summer and has enjoyed a fine start.

Isco – who has 38 caps for Spain – has been at Real for seven years now since joining from Malaga in 2013, and it feels as though his time is coming to an end.
It’s been reported that Everton are keen on the 28-year-old, with Carlo Ancelotti obviously having worked with him during his time as Real’s head coach.
The Toffees brought in Rodriguez but he’s largely played on the right so far, and Abdoulaye Doucoure and Allan are both holding or box-to-box.
It means there is still scope for a central attacking midfielder, and Isco would undoubtedly be an upgrade on Gylfi Sigurdsson.
TBR’s View – If Isco is available, Everton shouldn’t dally
If Real really are willing to sell Isco, then Everton should elbow aside the competition for him.

The star is still a quality player who is superb at receiving the ball between the lines, pivoting and driving forwards to the final third.
There is an impressive elegance about his game, and it is probably about time the club tried to upgrade on £100,000-a-week star Sigurdsson (Spotrac), who is a good player but struggles to be consistent.
Landing the playmaker in January might just give the club’s European hopes a significant boost.
