Everton are being linked with a move for Lazio striker Ciro Immobile.
According to TMW, Carlo Ancelotti is a big fan of the Italy international, who has been in superb form once again this season.
Immobile has plundered 21 goals in 22 appearances, and in total for Lazio he has 107 in 156.
The star has scored goals pretty much wherever he has been, and it is easy to see why teams might be interested.
Everton have had real problems finding the back of the net since the departure of Romelu Lukaku in 2017, but any signing of Immobile would see the Toffees finally replace the Belgian and his goalscoring prowess.
TBR’s view – Clinical Immobile could take Everton to next level
Everton have been somewhat toothless since Lukaku was sold to Manchester United for an initial £75 million (BBC Sport).
Richarlison has proven to be a good signing, but largely the team have had more difficulty scoring goals post-Lukaku.
Lukaku had three seasons as a permanent Everton player and scored 20 or more in each campaign. Even in his loan spell, he scored 16 in all competitions.
Immobile may be pushing 30, but he is deadlier than ever in front of goal and could be a genuine means of Everton becoming a more potent force in the final third again.
