Reinforcements might just be on the horizon at Everton.
It is being reported (Alfredo Pedulla) that the club are closing in on a move for Napoli midfielder Allan, with Carlo Ancelotti keen to reunite with the South American dynamo.
Another name doing the rounds is a player that has been linked with a moved to Goodison Park on a number of occasions previously.

Gianluca DiMarzio has claimed an approach has been made for Abdoulaye Doucoure, with the Frenchman having just been relegated with Watford.
The talk is that the duo could be arriving, while Tom Davies have been linked with an exit from the club with The Daily Mail claiming Newcastle United are interested.
Last term Everton lost many a midfield battle, and it is obviously a hugely important area of the pitch.
Put simply, if the Toffees are able to land these two players, it will be a game-changer for them in 2020/21.
TBR’s View – Drastic improvement
While Andre Gomes started to show some decent form again towards the end of Project Restart, the standard largely hasn’t been good enough in the middle of the park.

In Allan and Doucoure, Everton would be getting two extremely tenacious and technical players capable of drastically reinvigorating the engine room.
Allan, in particular, is somebody the Goodison crowd would love given his impressive work rate.
And £70,000-a-week star Doucoure’s (Spotrac) abilities are well known, having been a force in the Watford midfield for the past couple of Premier League seasons.
The pair would at least make Everton more competitive in midfield again.
