Everton fans are seeing a real turnaround under Marco Silva.
Silva has arrived at Goodison Park and he is slowly turning this Everton squad into his own.
The summer signings are settling in well and there is genuine hope that success will arrive under his leadership.
But as Silva starts to put his own personal stamp on this squad, some less-fancied players will have to leave.
Everton have a large squad and it could do with some trimming.
Silva will spend the January window and next summer flogging the deadwood that he doesn’t need at Everton.
And the first man to be axed should be Mo Besic. The 26-year-old is starring on loan at Middlesbrough and a permanent move there would suit all parties.
Besic is a talented player but he is not likely to break back into this Everton side.
With the likes of Andre Gomes, Idrissa Gueye, Tom Davies, James McCarthy and Morgan Schneiderlin all competing for central midfield spots, Besic is way down the pecking order.
The Bosnia international would be an asset for Boro on a permanent deal, though, as he is an important cog in their team.
Everton need to start clearing out their fringe players and Besic should be allowed to leave permanently at this stage of his career.
