Everton need to add extra quality in the final third going into next year and need to start drawing up plans for attacking targets.
One name that should be considered is dazzler Martin Odegaard, who is on loan at Vitesse Arnhem this season from La Liga giants Real Madrid.
According to El Confidencial, the 20-year-old doesn’t feature in the plans of new Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane moving forward.
It is understood that the Spanish club may consider selling him for around £17.1million and there there is interest as it stands from Ajax.
Odegaard has been lighting up the Dutch league this campaign with Vitesse, where he’s beginning to mature and feeling the benefits of regular first-team action.
He is a versatile attacker that can play on the wing or in a more central position, while he’s been touted as a future star ever since he first joined Madrid.
Odegaard has made 26 appearances so far this season for Vitesse, scoring seven goals and supplying six assists in return.
He’s a left-footed speed demon with a great turn of pace and is extremely thrilling to watch with his array of skills.
Everton should consider turning their attention to the Norway international and could be investing in a big talent that may leave the Bernabeu for a bargain price.
His success in Holland doesn’t guarantee the same in England, but he’s a fast improving player that has the potential to torment full-backs in the Premier League and add some extra quality at Goodison Park.
