Wissam Ben Yedder scored yet again for Sevilla last night. The Frenchman continues to slip under-the-radar as one of the best striking options in Europe. Yesterday he scored his 21st goal of the season as Sevilla defeated Lazio in the Europa League.
Last season, he scored 22 goals in 42 games including important strikes against both Liverpool and Manchester United. The season before he scored 18, often off the bench. The season before that, his last one with Toulouse, he scored 23.
He deals in goals and the 28-year-old would be perfect for a team like Everton.

The Toffees are clearly lacking a centre-forward. The likes of Cenk Tosun and Dominic Calvert-Lewin have just not cut it at Goodison Park recently.
Ben Yedder is exactly the sort of player that the club needs. He has proven pedigree in a big league and would be comparatively cheap compared to other potential Everton options. As reported by Get French Football, the forward has a release clause of €30 million (£26 million).
Everton have been linked before. But, as reported by the Daily Star, that was way back in 2012, when David Moyes was still in charge.
Marcel Brands is known to go for younger players than Ben Yedder, who will turn 29 in August. However, if Everton want an affordable, proven, goal-scorer, then Ben Yedder is simply the best option on the market.
It’s time to revamp some of the interest from the Moyes era.
