Arkadiusz Milik found himself on the wrong side of the news this week. It was his close-range effort which was saved by Alisson in the final minute of Liverpool’s impressive 1-0 win over Napoli. It sent Anfield into rapturous applause and Liverpool into the next round of the Champions League at Napoli’s expense.
It seems Milik could actually be on his way out of the club in the winter. The Polish striker has been beset by injury trouble in recent times but is now fully fit. As reported by Foot 01, Marseille are hopeful of signing the player in January as he is still not a regular starter for Napoli.
Everton should certainly be keeping tabs on these developments.
The Polish striker may be struggling to get ahead of Lorenzo Insigne and Dries Mertens, but he still has seven goals in 13 Serie A appearances this term. His overall record at Napoli actually sits at a goal every 100 minutes of Serie A action, a quite incredible record.

Everton clearly need another centre-forward. Richarlison is currently playing through the middle. However, in reserve, Cenk Tosun does not look up to scratch and Oumar Niasse is expected to leave in January.
Milik is a frightening goalscorer when fully fit, as he showed in his final season at Ajax. But at Napoli, he has started just 15 league games in two-and-a-half years.
Everton could offer him regular football and the chance for some Merseyside redemption. Considered the long-term heir to Robert Lewandowski’s Polish throne, Everton should be in the hunt if Milik is available in January.
