Everton are facing an important summer transfer window at the end of the campaign and they need to ensure they can progress next season.

The Toffees surely have to be right in the mix for the European spots next year to prove that everything is moving in the right direction with manager Marco Silva, as he will be entering his second year in charge.

He could do with an extra option in the centre of the park at Goodison Park and one name that should crop up on the transfer radar is Joan Jordan.

The 24-year-old is currently a key performer for La Liga club Eibar and is the type of addition that would improve Everton’s options.

According to Marca, Arsenal are eyeing him as a potential replacement for Aaron Ramsey following his imminent exit to Juventus.

The report details that Jordan has a £12.9million release clause with Eibar and his current deal with them will expire in 2020.

It’s understood that the Spanish top-flight club are keen to cash in on one of their best players while they can.

Jordan is an extremely versatile midfielder that could be a steal for around £13million and that is why Everton should hijack Arsenal’s interest in him.

The Spaniard has a physical presence in the centre of the park that helps him defensively and he’s got a great work-rate.

Meanwhile, the central midfielder is a goal threat too with three goals and four assists so far this season under his belt for mid-table Eibar.

Jordan has plenty of potential to develop even further with more experience and would be a real snip for Everton.
