Everton need to consider strengthening their attack next season, especially if they are to really push for a European finish.

Manager Marco Silva has had a decent first season at Goodison Park where he’s built a platform, but they have to push on next year and show progress.

One area that the Toffees need to ensure they get right is at striker and signing another option over the summer makes perfect sense.

Everton have promising young talent Dominic Calvert-Lewin as the main option right now and he’s done enough to earn another shot next season.

But the Merseyside club are crying out for some more competition and adding an experienced centre-forward to help nurture the 22-year-old could be great for the squad.

According to the Daily Star, it’s anticipated that Premier League outfit West Ham will sell the striker in the summer as he enters the final year of his contract.

The report details that he’s valued at £8million and is currently on a £140,000-a-week wage.

Everton should weigh up a move for the Mexico internatonal and £8million would be a bargain fee for a proven attacker that could thrive off the service at Goodison Park.

Hernandez has scored eight goals in just 28 games this season for West Ham and could definitely add some experience to Everton’s attack.

The 30-year-old is a clinical finisher in the box that would be a great alternative to Calvert-Lewin and is still capable.
