Everton should consider reported chase for Todd Cantwell

Despite losing to Manchester City in the last game, there is a renewed belief around Everton following the arrival of Carlo Ancelotti as manager.

The Merseyside club are 11th in the Premier League table as it stands and will be aiming to finish as high as they can next season, but there is a lot of excitement about the type of impact high-profile boss Ancelotti can have.

The Toffees will definitely need to strengthen the squad moving forward to climb the table, whether that be in the current January window or next summer.

One man that should crop up on the Everton radar is Todd Cantwell, who has taken to the Premier League with real ease this season with Norwich City and caught the eye.

According to the Daily Mail, Manchester United have Cantwell on their radar as a summer target and he’s valued at around £30million.

The report details that Manchester City and Tottenham are also keeping tabs on the 21-year-old’s performances this campaign.

Everton should definitely try join the race for Cantwell and look to bring him to Goodison Park.

The England Under-21 international would surely be a great target if Norwich get related this season and his current deal at Carrow Road expires in 2022.

He’s a left-winger that has so much potential to be a gem in the future if he keeps developing, while he could also be great competition for the likes of Alex Iwobi, Theo Walcott and Bernard.

Cantwell has serious impressed in his 21 league appearanes so far this season, scoring six goals and supplying two assists in return.

The youngster has shown a real goal threat when ghosting into central areas and he also scored when Norwich beat Everton at Goodison Park with a composed finish into the bottom corner.
