It appears that one of Everton’s young talents will have interest from both the Football League and Scottish football this summer. As reported by the Liverpool Echo, Fraser Hornby is expected to be a wanted man.
The 19-year-old Scotland youth international striker has become one of the club’s top talents. As reported by The Echo, he joined the club from Northampton in a deal that could eventually be worth around £1 million.
Brought in as a midfielder, he has become a fantastic centre-forward. This season he has struggled with injury but still managed to score five goals in 16 games as Everton under-23s won the league and cup double.

So what do Everton do with him?
Plenty will have to do with Everton’s transfer activity. Cenk Tosun’s time at the club has been called into doubt whilst Oumar Niasse is surely on his way. It leaves Everton short in attack unless they bring in a new big name. Even then, Hornby could still be in the running for first-team football.
A loan move might be the obvious next step. However, Everton could use an extra striker next season and Finch Farm is certainly looking like a great place to be at the moment.
Maybe keeping Hornby at Everton could be an option again next season.
