Everton arguably need a bit of fresh impetus at the moment and, thankfully for them, the transfer window is about to open.
It’s a chance for the Toffees to bring in some fresh quality to help them fly up the Premier League table and get into the top half – which is where they should be at the very least.
Influential January purchases can often be hard to come by, but perhaps there’s a potential opportunity for Everton over in Ligue 1.

According to a report from RMC Sport, Paris Saint-Germain have just rejected a loan bid from Lyon for midfielder Julian Draxler, but would be open to selling the World Cup winner for a fee in the region of €20 million/£17 million.
Draxler has made just eight appearances this season, thanks in-part to injury, and is under contract until 2021 at the Parc des Princes.
Interestingly, Draxler seemingly has a fan in Everton’s top managerial target Carlo Ancelotti, who once branded the playmaker ‘a very interesting player’ whilst in charge at Bayern Munich (ESPN, 2015).
TBR’s view – Draxler’s versatility would be ideal
Draxler has spent a successful few years in Paris in terms of winning trophies, but he has never really established himself as an absolutely indispensable starter.

Perhaps now could be the time for him to move on, and if PSG really are willing to sell for just £17 million then Everton surely have to move.
Draxler can feature as a box-to-box midfielder, a number 10 or out on the wings, making him a potentially extremely handy signing.
