Welsh international Rabbi Matondo has agreed a deal to take him from Manchester City to Schalke, according to the Telegraph.

They report that a fee of £11.29m has been agreed between the two clubs as Matondo looks set to become the latest British talent to pursue a new opportunity in the Bundesliga.

Matondo recently shunned a new deal at the Etihad Stadium, sparking widespread interest in his services and Everton were named among the clubs in pursuit of the youngster.

Matondo is set to follow in the footsteps of former City star Jadon Sancho, who has elevated himself into the senior England squad as a result of his performances in Germany for Borussia Dortmund.

Matondo represents exactly the kind of exciting young talent Everton need right now to pep up their faltering attack.

Marco Silva’s side have hit a wall of late and Richarlison needs somebody with who he can share the creative burden; he cannot be expected to do it all by himself.

And the price Matondo is going for is a lot for a teenager but not a great amount for a classy wideman in the current marketplace; and that value only looks likely go up as the Welshman gets opportunities to show what he can do.
