Everton are said to be interested in the Besiktas defender Domagoj Vida, according to Aksam in Turkey. The report claims that the Toffees are set to offer cash plus Dutch attacking midfielder Davy Klaassen in order to snap up the Croatian talent.
The report suggests Everton have offered €10 million (£8.8 million) plus Klaassen, who cost Everton £23.6 million last summer.
Vida only joined Besiktas in January on a free transfer from Dynamo Kiev so it would be a shock deal. On Everton’s side as well, financially, considering the Croatian is 29-years-old.
Everton face a fight to win the race to sign Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney this summer, according to reports.
It appears that Tottenham Hotspur are also in the hunt for the Scotland international. According to The Scottish Sun, a bid from Everton is expected within the next 72 hours. The amount is likely to be in the region of £25 million, as Everton search for Leighton Baines’ long-term successor.
But the report claims Tottenham will outbid Everton for the young talent as they consider the future of Danny Rose.
Everton are being linked with the signature of Porto striker Moussa Marega and, according to reports, could get him.
It is reported by CM Journal that the Portuguese side will sell the striker for a fee of £31 million.
West Ham are also keen on the player, who scored 22 goals in 29 games for the club last season.
