Everton round-up: Tosun exit talk, Pickford on Everton move and Walcott’s international absence

A selection of the latest news and gossip from Everton.

Tosun could go

Cenk Tosun could be on his way out of the club in January, according to reports. Mynet in Turkey is suggesting the £27 million January arrival could be sold after struggling to find consistency in front of goal at Goodison Park.

The report claims that his former club Besiktas are looking at bringing him back to Turkey this winter on loan, if Everton decide he is not needed. Brazilian Richarlison is now set to lead the line after an excellent showing up front v Leicester City at the weekend.

Pickford on joining Everton

Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford has been discussing his summer, which saw him impress as the number one goalkeeper for England at the World Cup. Speaking to The Guardian he admitted his life had changed since the tournament.

He also spoke of his move to Everton last summer. He stated that the moment he heard of Everton’s interest he decided he wanted the move immediately.

He also revealed he went to watch Everton as an away Sunderland fan in 2008.

Walcott on Sancho

Theo Walcott has backed England newbie Jadon Sancho to be a hit. The Everton winger knows a thing or two about being called into the England team at a young age.

Speaking to The Independent, the Everton attacker stated that the Borussia Dortmund winger will ‘not be fazed’ by the chance to make his England debut this week.

He also confirmed he has not had any contact with Gareth Southgate over any potential return to the England fold.
