Everton round-up: Tavares linked, Pickford on Coleman and team news for City

Sidnei wanted

Everton want Leicester City talent Sidnei Tavares. The 17-year-old Portuguese midfielder has been impressing for the Foxes under-18s this season but is yet to sign a new deal.

Football Insider is reporting that Everton are keen to offer him a deal and bring him to Finch Farm.

The likes of Porto and Lazio are also said to be keen on the player and Marcel Brands is ‘impressed’ by the youngster.

Pickford on Coleman

Jordan Pickford has described Seamus Coleman as a ‘very good leader’. The Irishman has been the defacto Everton captain for much of the current campaign.

Despite his struggles when it comes to performance levels, the Everton goalkeeper has praised the experienced full-back.

Talking in the pre-match programme notes for tonight’s clash with Manchester City, as reported by the Liverpool Echo, the goalie praised Coleman’s ‘passion’ for the club.

Everton have a few injury troubles ahead of the clash with City. Yerry Mina and Phil Jagielka remain out whilst Leighton Baines will also miss the game with his latest setback.

However, Lucas Digne is back from suspension and expected to slot straight back into his left-back role.
