Everton round-up: Sala linked, Zivkovic wanted and Bernard tipped by Rivaldo

Everton are interested in the Nantes striker Emiliano Sala. The Sunday People (18/11/18, pg 49) are reporting that the Argentine attacker is wanted by Premier League quartet West Ham United, Wolves, Crystal Palace and the Toffees.

Everton will need to spend around £15 million for the player, according to the report.

Marco Silva is said to want another frontman with Cenk Tosun struggling for form and Oumar Niasse expected to leave in January.

Zivkovic wanted

The Daily Mail is suggesting that Everton are keeping tabs on the Benfica attacker Andrija Zivkovic.

The Benfica attacker is said to be a £20 million plus target for Marco Silva’s side, with director of football Marcel Brands said to be particularly keen on the Serbian attacker.

Rivaldo on Bernard

Brazilian legend Rivaldo believes that Everton newbie Bernard can work his way back into the Brazilian national team set-up.

Speaking to Star Sport, the former Barcelona attacker suggested that Everton was the right choice for the former Shakhtar Donetsk attacker.

He stated that Bernard can ‘earn his place’ back with Selecao. Bernard has been in fine form for Everton this season and has proved to be a bargain on a Bosman transfer.
