Ndombele linked

Everton are interested in the Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele. The Liverpool Echo report that chief scout Martyn Glover has been keeping tabs on the French international.

The report continues that Everton would be battling some of the biggest teams in Europe to complete a deal.

Ndombele is valued at £40 million and Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City have been linked previously.

Silva wants Gomes stay

Everton boss Marco Silva admits he wants to keep Andre Gomes at the club. The Portuguese star is currently on loan at Goodison Park from Barcelona. Everton have no buying option in the loan deal but Silva wants Gomes at the club long-term.

Speaking after the player’s man of the match performance against Cardiff City, Silva stated Everton would wait for the ‘right moment’ to try and put a deal together.

Coleman embarassed

Seamus Coleman has been speaking ahead of the Merseyside derby at the weekend. The Irishman told the Express that Everton’s recent record against their loal rivals was ‘embarrassing’ and that he hoped to end their current winless streak.

Everton’s last win against the Reds came in Coleman’s first Merseyside derby back in October 2010.
