Matthew Pennington joins Hull City

Everton have confirmed (official Twitter) that defender Pennington has joined Championship side Hull on a season-long loan.

The 24-year-old centre-back has departed Goodison Park for a sixth different loan spell and was at Ipswich Town last season.

He’s been unable to force his way into Marco Silva’s plans and will be looking for regular football with Hull.

Alex Iwobi pursuit still alive

Everton’s pursuit for Iwobi is reportedly still ongoing and a potential deal for the Arsenal winger is possible.

According to the Daily Mail in its live blog (8 August, 16:44), the Toffees could complete a late swoop for the 23-year-old winger.

The report details they could have an extra two hours past the 5pm deadline to finalist finer details if a ‘deal sheet’ is filled in.

Everton have seen a £30million offer turned down for the speed machine and will need to return with a bigger bid to sign him.

Djibril Sidibe Instagram post

Everton signed Monaco defender Sidibe on a season-long loan on Wednesday and he’s posted on social media.

The right-back posted “new challenge come on you blues” on his official Instagram account.

He’s an exciting addition for the Merseyside club and should provide stiff competition for Seamus Coleman at full-back.

Sidibe, 27, previously won the Ligue 1 title with Monaco in the 2016/17 campaign and is a brilliant modern day full-back with attacking qualities.
