Everton round-up: Iglesias future, Bernard ‘dedicated’ and Bolasie heroics

A selection of the latest news and gossip from Everton.

Iglesias comments

Reported Everton transfer target Borja Iglesias has been discussing his summer transfer plans.

Marca reported in January that Everton were willing to pay his £24.5 million release clause to solve their striking problems but the Espanyol man rejected any interest.

Now he has told AS that he has no desire to leave the club in the summer, should Everton return with any further interest for the player.

Bernard ‘dedicated’

Speaking to Record in the Portuguese press, Bernard has stated that he and the rest of the dressing room is fully behind Marco Silva.

The Brazilian winger was signed in the summer by the Everton manager.

In recent weeks, Silva has been under pressure after some poor form from Everton.

However, Bernard states that the players are ‘dedicated’ to the Everton boss.

Bolasie heroics

Yannick Bolasie may be surplus to requirements at Everton, but the DR Congo international has become a hero at his current club.

The winger scored the winning goal in the 90th minute for Anderlecht against Royal Antwerp, nodding home a header at the back post.

He was loaned out to Aston Villa at the start of the season but left the club early in January.
