Brands on talented Dutchman

Everton director of football Marcel Brands has spoken about PSV talent Mohammed Ihattaren in the Dutch press.

Speaking to Voetbal International, as reported by Voetbal Primeur, the former PSV technical director stated he would ‘like to have him at Everton tomorrow’ as he is that talented.

However, he also stated his belief that this would not be the right step for the 16-year-old who has recently made his way into the PSV first-team.

Davies on captaincy

Tom Davies says it has been ‘amazing’ to captain Everton at times this season. The youngster has recently held the armband under Marco Silva and he informed the official Everton website that the experience has been unbelievable.

Gordon on fire

Goals from Michael Collins and Ellis Simms saw Everton beat Brighton in the FA Youth Cup last night. However, as reported by the Liverpool Echo, it was Anthony Gordon who shone.

The report also confirmed that Everton boss Marco Silva has an eye on the player and that Everton will reject any approaches from Bundesliga sides reportedly keen on his signature as they aim to avoid a Jadon Sancho like situation.
