Bolasie opens up

Yannick Bolasie has been discussing what went wrong at Everton prior to his loan switch to Aston Villa.

The DR Congo star was told he could leave the club on a temporary deal after failing to impress Marco Silva.

Speaking to the Birmingham Mail, he stated he came back from his injury problems ‘too early’. He now says he is doing things right in his slow burn at Villa Park.

Bolasie has played all his minutes in the Championship from the bench so far.

Arnautovic non-commital

Everton have recently been linked with a move for West Ham United striker Marko Arnautovic. The Austrian has not moved to deny such claims this week.

As reported by Sky Sports, he said he did ‘not want to talk about it’ and was currently concentrating on upcoming games with the Hammers.

Everton and Chelsea are said to be keen on the player.

DCL confident

Dominic Calvert-Lewin says he is not fazed by the pressure of England heading to the European Under-21 Championships as one of the favourites next summer. The draw for the tournament in Italy and San Marino takes place later this week. England are currently on a 21-game unbeaten streak and are considered the best in the age group by many.

But, as reported by the Daily Mail, the Everton striker believes his experience with Everton and in winning the Under-20 World Cup has prepared him for the tournament
