Barrios on radar

Everton are interested in Colombian international Wilmar Barrios. According to AS Argentina, the Boca Juniors midfielder is on the club’s radar and has been since the summer.

He is reportedly available for $23 million (£18 million) and could be considered a long-term option if Idrissa Gana Gueye is pulled away from Goodison Park.

The report suggests Barrios is happy to join Everton and that Boca have identified a replacement for his services.

Suarez wanted

Everton are reportedly interested in Barcelona midfielder Denis Suarez. Catalan newspaper Sport, as relayed by Sport Witness, has suggested that he is on Everton’s radar as he could be signed for a ‘modest’ amount and would provide obvious quality.

The playmaker has recently been linked with Arsenal. Sky report a deal could be done soon for the player and the Guardian say he is worth around £20 million.

Lookman happy

Ademola Lookman has insisted he is ‘happy’ at Everton.

Last January he left the club to go on loan to German side RB Leipzig and thrived in the Bundesliga. It led to suggestions he could leave the club permanently last summer.

However, he confirmed to the Liverpool Echo this week that he is happy at Everton, after scoring in the recent FA Cup win against Lincoln City.
