Everton round-up: Augustin and Lookman swap, Puig linked and Oxford wanted
Everton are keen on Jean-Kevin Augustin this January. According to the Scottish Sun, Everton want to sign the RB Leipzig striker.
The Frenchman will however not come cheap. The report claims he is valued at £38 million by the Bundesliga club, a fee which could prove preventive for the Goodison Park club.
However, the report also suggests that Everton could use Ademola Lookman as a makeweight in the deal. The winger spent the second half of last season on loan at the German club.
The Sunday Mirror (16/12/2018; pg 65) suggests another raid on Barcelona could be in the offing for Everton. The Toffees are said to be keen on youngster Riqui Puig, who has been labelled the ‘next Iniesta’.
Puig has been a star for the Barcelona B team and has recently been with the first-team.
Tottenham Hotspur are known to also be keen.
Everton are in the hunt to sign Reece Oxford from West Ham. The Daily Mail suggests the one-time wonderkid does not want to leave West Ham on another loan deal, instead wanting a permanent exit.
That has secured the interest of Everton. The youngster is also being linked with Manchester City and Borussia Monchengladbach.
