Stadium plans
Everton have pushed back the date for the opening of their new stadium. As reported by The Telegraph, the club will now begin a one-year public consultation process before submitting planning applications in 12 months time.
The move will not take place until at least the 2023-24 season, a year later than originally proposed.
Everton are also hopeful to privately fund the entire build, rather than take a £250 million loan from Liverpool City Council.

Walcott grateful
Theo Walcott has been discussing his time at Everton so far with the Liverpool Echo. The former Arsenal star says that Everton are only ‘touching the surface’ of what they can achiev under Marco Silva at present.
He also expressed his gratitude to Silva for giving him a chance despite admitting he was a Sam Allardyce signing.
Walcott has been in decent form for Everton this season and has certainly settled in well at Goodison Park.
Brands critical of Chelsea
Marcel Brands has criticised Chelsea for upping the market price of young Brazilian talent. Referencing Richarlison’s big money move to Watford and Vinicius Junior’s switch to Real Madrid.
Speaking to Voetbal International he spoke of the Brazilian youngsters signed by Chelsea, who have not yet made a first-team impact, such as Wallace, Nathan and Lucas Piazon.
He suggested that has made it harder for teams like former club PSV to sign such players, instead utilising the Mexican market, as they did with Hirving Lozano.
