Wonderkid signs professional terms
Everton have moved swiftly to tie-down wonderkid Anthony Gorden to a first professional contract with the club.
The England youth international will remain at Goodison Park until 2023.
The news will delight the club’s supporters who had feared that Gordon might be snatched away from them.
Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund had previously shown an interest, according to the Liverpool Echo.
The 18-year-old became the first player born in the 21st century to play for the senior team when he came off the bench against Apollon Limassol back in December 2017.

Midfielder expresses commitment
Idrissa Gueye has said that he owes everything to Everton, amid reports that he might leave the club in the summer.
PSG were heavily linked with a deal for the midfielder back in January, according to Sky Sports.
Now as per an article on Sport Witness, Gueye has spoken of his gratitude to the Toffees and wants to continue progressing.
He said: “This club allowed me to stat in the Premier League after Aston Villa got relegated.
“I owe everything to Everton and will continue to give everything for the club as long as I am there.”

Youngster speaks on future
Everton youngster Antonee Robinson was loaned to Wigan Athletic during the summer.
The USA international penned a three-year deal prior to checking-in at the DW Stadium.
The 21-year-old has now been speaking to US Soccer regarding his future and he is hopeful of a chance at Goodison Park.
He said: “It feels great to know that Everton have faith in me with the contract.
“Even though at the minute they feel I might not be quite ready for the Premier League with the team they have, they do feel I’ve got a future with them. They just want me to get loaned out and get that experience.”
Injury has restricted Robinson to just 15 Championship appearances this season.
It will remain to be seen what next season holds.
